‘- ROTARY 4POST SHEAVE PIN (BLACK OXIDE) CROSSMEMBER ROT-FC5224-21
– overall length 4-3/8 inches
– 1-1/2 inch diameter

Sheaves and sheave pins are subject to heavy loads especially in 180 Degree wrapped sheaves. On a typical automotive 4 post lift, the vehicle and most of the lift structure is supported on the wire ropes. Worn pins or bushings can lead to accelerated wear of the wire ropes or sheaves. Excessively worn sheave pins could also lead to catastrophic failure causing property damage, injury or death.

During an inspection, ensure the cables are slacked and a disassembly of the sheave stack is conducted for a through inspection of the sheave bushings and pins. The pin should fit into the sheave housing snug without excessive play.
